1. What is your approach to mental health coaching?
Wholistic coaching is an approach that integrates mind, body, and spirit to foster deep healing and self-awareness. Unlike traditional coaching, which may focus only on specific goals or strategies, whliostic coaching works to restore your natural balance and wholeness by embracing your complete being. This process involves spiritual guidance, somatic awareness, breathwork, and intuitive insights that help you navigate life’s challenges — whether that’s stress, trauma, or emotional disconnection.
In this approach, we work together to zoom out and explore the nature of your experiences, understanding them through a non-dual lens that recognizes the infinite interconnectedness of everything. We focus less on fixing problems and more on understanding and embracing the messages that life and trauma are offering you. By doing so, we create space for integration, healing, and deeper clarity.
2. How do you approach trauma in your coaching?
In my approach, trauma is not something to be fixed, but rather something to be understood and integrated. I believe that trauma often carries messages — important pieces of information about what has been suppressed or overlooked in the body, mind, or spirit. These messages, when embraced with love and understanding, allow for profound transformation.
I work from a polyvagal-informed perspective, which means we explore how your nervous system is responding to trauma and stress. Somatic awareness and breathwork are key tools we use to help you reconnect with your body and release stored emotional tension. Instead of focusing on simply removing pain, we create the space to listen deeply to these messages, allowing for healing, growth, and integration.
Through this process, you will gain the ability to recognize peace and clarity within yourself, as you develop a more profound relationship with your body and emotions.
3. What is polyvagal theory, and how does it apply to your work?
Polyvagal theory is a scientific framework developed by Dr. Stephen Porges that explores how the nervous system regulates our reactions to stress, trauma, and emotions. It focuses on the role of the vagus nerve in regulating our fight-or-flight responses and how these responses affect our physical and emotional well-being.
In my coaching, we use the principles of polyvagal theory to help you become more aware of your nervous system’s responses and guide you toward self-regulation. By understanding the physiological and emotional effects of trauma, we can work together to rewire your response patterns, fostering a state of safety and presence.
This understanding empowers you to make more conscious choices, embody peace, and connect deeply with the wisdom and calm that is always present within you.
4. How does breathwork fit into your coaching?
Breathwork is an integral part of my coaching because it offers a direct path to resetting your nervous system, calming the body, and clearing emotional blockages. When we experience stress or trauma, our breath often becomes shallow or erratic, which can keep us stuck in a fight-or-flight response. Breathwork helps to re-establish a sense of safety in the body, allowing you to regain balance and release tension.
Through guided breathwork exercises, you will learn how to calm the mind, connect to your body, and restore emotional equilibrium. This practice allows you to open up space for clarity, peace, and healing as you integrate deeper wisdom and understanding into your life.
5. What role does meditation play in your work?
Meditation is a powerful tool for increasing inner peace, awareness, and understanding. In our sessions, we use a variety of guided meditations to help you attune to your inner wisdom, reconnect with your true self, and clear mental and emotional clutter. These meditations are often designed to support you in embracing present-moment awareness, which is crucial for releasing past trauma and finding clarity.
We also explore mindfulness practices that encourage you to observe your thoughts and feelings without judgment, allowing you to zoom out and gain a broader perspective on your life and experiences. This approach helps you to find compassion for yourself and acceptance for whatever arises, creating the foundation for peace and healing.
6. Do I need to have experienced trauma to work with you?
No, you do not need to have a specific traumatic event to benefit from this work. Many of my clients come to me simply feeling stressed, disconnected, or overwhelmed, seeking clarity, peace, and a deeper sense of connection with themselves.
Whether you’re dealing with trauma, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, or simply wanting to feel more grounded, wholistic spiritual coaching can offer the tools and insights you need to reconnect with your inner wisdom and restore balance in your life.
7. What should I expect from a coaching session with you?
In a typical session, we’ll start by checking in with where you’re at emotionally, physically, and mentally. I’ll guide you through a breathwork practice or a mindfulness meditation to help you relax and attune to your body.
We’ll explore what’s coming up for you in the present moment, using somatic awareness to identify any blockages or patterns in your body and nervous system. We’ll then dive deeper into the messages behind those sensations and work together to integrate the wisdom they offer.
Throughout the process, I provide gentle, compassionate guidance, helping you gain clarity and understanding around your experiences. The goal is not to “fix” anything, but to understand and embrace the messages your body and life are presenting to you, so you can move forward with more peace, love, and wisdom.
8. How long does it take to see results?
The process of healing and growth is unique for each person. Some people experience immediate shifts in clarity, peace, or emotional relief after just a few sessions, while others may need more time to integrate deeper changes.
What’s important to note is that this work is not about quick fixes, but about understanding, embracing, and integrating the wisdom of your experiences. As you continue to build awareness and work with your nervous system, lasting change will unfold naturally.
The pace of progress will be in alignment with your own journey — and that’s what makes this work so transformative and deeply fulfilling.
9. Do you work with clients from specific backgrounds?
Yes — I welcome clients from all backgrounds, and walks of life.
As someone who is Jewish, I bring a special sensitivity and understanding to the unique cultural and logistical considerations that may arise within the Jewish community.
10. How do I get started?
The best way to get started is to book a free clarity call. During this call, we’ll talk about what’s going on in your life, what you’re looking to achieve, and how I can support you in reaching your goals. This conversation helps us both determine if we’re a good fit to work together. IThere is no pressure to commit to anything in this call.
If you decide to move forward, we’ll schedule our first session and begin our work together. I’ll guide you every step of the way as we uncover the messages your body, mind, and spirit are offering you, and move toward peace, understanding, and wholeness.
